Beyond Maple Ridge…. Learning to set goals and plan for the future is an essential activity and a requirement for all students in grades 7-12. In order to support education and career/life planning, students investigate various aspects of themselves as they relate to their current learning and future planning by addressing several key questions.


myBlueprint education planner is a tool all students can use to plan for their futures. Students should click on the GREEN Student Account Log In button and enter their regular SCDSB username and password.

 

Considering University?

To apply to University in Ontario, students require six grade 12U/M courses, including grade 12 university English (ENG4U). Open courses and co-op courses do not count as university prerequisites. Be sure to review the prerequisite courses for specific university programs.

 

Considering College?

Colleges will have access to all grade 11 and 12 marks and often use a combination of these as program requirements. Diploma programs will require a student to have the grade 12 College English - (ENG4C).

 

Considering an Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is an agreement between an individual who wants to learn a skill and an employer who needs a skilled worker. It is a combination of in-school training and on-the-job experience. It can last between two to five years, depending on the program. You earn while you learn.
